Being a freelance writer is like tightrope-walking; you either do it well or not for long.

    It's been about 19 years since I first stepped out on this thin and trembling high-wire as my primary means of support. I'm some distance from where I started, yet the far end still isn't in sight.

I've stopped worrying about falling. I'm now more focused on maintaining an air of competence and grace while enjoying the view from up here.
